Bad glitch!

Just since I have upgraded my iPod Touch (4) to iOS 6.1.6, the program has developed a Fatal Flaw! The functions on the bottom line of the control panel suddenly all disappear, leaving no buttons for Play, Upload, trash, etc!
I have reinstalled several times, the buttons reappear yet disappear again when I need them! This renders the program useless. Wasted my $7, now need another voice rec app that will offer VCVA (vox). HELP!
